1. About this application

GAH Service App is an Android tool for authorised service work with compatible controllers. Depending on the permissions assigned to a user, it prepares and edits configuration files, handles service-log packages, reads board information and displays live equipment data.

This policy covers the application and its supporting access service. The organisation authorising your access manages the profile, equipment resources and destinations used for service work. Use the contact address below for privacy questions and requests.

2. Information processed

• Your email address and administrator-assigned profile, including permissions, device limits and service settings.
• A hashed device identifier, device manufacturer/model description, and registration and last-access timestamps.
• Configuration matrices, UTS files, CSV logs, ZIP packages, controller-software files and other service files that you select, download, create, edit or transfer.
• Controller identifiers, parameters, live readings, operating states and responses obtained from connected equipment.
• Service references and engineer details included in log-package workflows, plus configured email recipients, subjects and message text.
• Local diagnostic records, such as operation times, file references, connection events, profile checks and errors. Records may include your email address or other details entered during service work.

The registration request sends a hash of the device identifier rather than the raw Android identifier. Because it is associated with an email address, the hash is not treated as anonymous data. Service-file contents can also include personal information where users or equipment records contain it.

3. Why information is used

Information is processed to verify authorised access, enforce device limits and feature permissions, retrieve the correct service resources, prepare and transfer controller files, display equipment information and investigate faults. Email and sharing details are used to prepare the service packages you choose to pass to another application.

4. Permissions and local storage

Internet and network-state access support profile checks and remote resources. USB access supports compatible adapters and equipment. The Android file or folder picker grants access to documents and USB-drive folders selected by you. On older Android versions, storage permissions may also be requested for the relevant file workflows. The application does not request location, contacts, camera or microphone permissions.

Settings, remembered email and device-verification information, imports, temporary working files and diagnostic logs are stored locally. Generated and edited files may also be stored in application-specific external storage or copied to a location you select. Sharing uses Android content permissions to give the chosen application access to the selected file.

Android application backup is enabled in this version. Eligible data may be backed up or restored according to the Android version, device and backup settings. A backup provider processes its copy under its own terms.

5. Network communication and sharing

Profile verification exchanges your email address, hashed device identifier and device description with the configured access service. Resource requests retrieve the files needed for your permitted workflows. Hosting and security logs may contain IP addresses, request times and requested paths; profile paths can contain an email address.

Authorised administrators and providers operating the service may process access records and hosted files. When you choose an email, share, save or controller-transfer action, the selected file and associated message or service information are passed to that destination. The receiving application, email provider, storage provider, recipient or connected equipment then handles the information under its own arrangements. Preparing an email attachment does not mean the message has been sent.

Personal information is not sold. The application contains no advertising or dedicated third-party analytics SDK. Information may be disclosed where required by applicable law.

6. Retention and deletion

Local settings, imports, diagnostic logs and retained working files remain until cleared or removed by the application's relevant clean-up workflow, by clearing application data or by uninstalling. Not every file is subject to automatic deletion, and diagnostic logs have no automatic age-based retention limit in this version.

Files copied to USB storage, exported, emailed or retained by another application are separate copies and are not removed by uninstalling this application. Backups must be managed through the relevant backup service.

The administrator retains profile and device-registration records while required for authorised access, administration, security or applicable obligations. Request deletion or details of the applicable retention period using the address below. Removing local data does not automatically delete server records or recipients' copies.

7. Security

The application uses administrator-defined access permissions, device checks, hashed registration identifiers, private storage for internal data and limited file-sharing permissions. Network confidentiality depends on the configured service: HTTPS encrypts an HTTPS connection, but this version also permits HTTP connections and does not guarantee encryption for every configured resource. USB files and exported copies require protection by the device or storage owner.

No method of transmission or storage provides an absolute security guarantee. Keep authorised devices, service files and email accounts secure.

8. Children's privacy

This application is intended for authorised workplace service activities and is not directed at children.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Access is provisioned by an administrator, with no public account-creation function in the application. You can decline file-sharing actions, revoke available device or folder permissions and clear local application data in Android settings. Contact the address below to request access to, correction of or deletion of profile, device or service information.

Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy or complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Identity verification and applicable legal, security or record-retention obligations may affect how a request is fulfilled.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the application, its supporting service or applicable requirements. The latest version will display its revision date.
